குறள் 1091:
இருநோக் கிவளுண்கண் உள்ள தொருநோக்கு
நோய்நோக்கொன் றந்நோய் மருந்து

விளக்கம்:
இவளது பார்வை இரண்டு விஷயங்களை உணர்த்துகிறது. ஒன்று, ஏதோ ஒரு துன்பத்தை தர இருக்கிறாள். மற்றொன்று அத்துன்பத்தின் மூலம் இன்பம் என்கிற மருந்தை வழங்க இருக்கிறாள்

Her sight is signalling two things. One is that she is to offer a misery. The another one is that she is to offer a medicine namely pleasance through such misery.

அவளது அந்த கள்ளப் பார்வை நிச்சயம் காமத்தின் உச்சத்தை தராமல் பாதியில் நிறுத்துவதாக தெரியவில்லை.

என்னை பார்த்ததும் நாணம் வந்து தலைகவிழ்ந்தாள். இதற்கு என்ன அர்த்தம்?  நிச்சயம் அது என் மீதான காதலுக்கு நீரூற்றுகிறாள். வேறென்ன?

நான் பார்த்தால், நிலத்தை பார்க்கிறாள். பார்க்காத பொழுது என்னை நாணம் மிகுந்த நகைப்புடன் பார்த்து மகிழ்கிறாள்.

அவள் என்னை குறிவைத்து பார்க்காமல் ஆனால் நன்கு பார்த்து மகிழ்கிறாள் என்பது மட்டும் எனக்கு தெரிகிறது.

என்னிடம் அவள் பேசினாள். யாரோ எவரோ என்றாள். அது அவள் என் மீது கொண்டுள்ள அன்பின் வெளிப்படைத்தன்மை என்பது மட்டும் நிச்சயம் தெரியும்.

அவளது பகை போன்ற பேச்சும் சினம் போன்ற பார்வையும் தோற்றத்திற்கு தான். உள்ளபடி அன்புக்காக ஏங்குகிறாள் என்பது தெரிகிறது.
