குறள் 1301:
புல்லா திராஅப் புலத்தை அவருறும்
அல்லல்நோய் காண்கம் சிறிது
- தெய்வப்புலவர்

விளக்கம்:
ஊடல் (பிணக்கு) செய்து அவரை தழுவாது இருப்பதால் அவர் படும் அந்த வேதனையை கண்டு ரசிப்பதும் ஒரு இன்பம் தான்.

Enjoying his sadness caused because of being without copulating him even after the pleasant clash is also a kind of pleasance.

உப்பமைந் தற்றால் புலவி அதுசிறிது
மிக்கற்றால் நீள விடல்
- தெய்வப்புலவர்

விளக்கம்:
கூடலுக்கு முன் செய்யும் ஊடலின் அளவு உணவில் உப்பை சேர்ப்பது போன்றதாகும். அளவு கூடிப்போவதும் இல்லாமல் போவதும் உணவின் சுவையை கெடுக்கும். அது போல் தான் கலவியின் பொழுது காட்டும் ஊடல்.

Explanation in English:
The level of clashing with lover before copulating is like the level of adding salt on food. If the salt is more, the food would lose its taste. Likewise the pleasance of love might be collapsed if the clash overcomes.

துணையிடம் பிணக்கு காட்டி ஏற்படுத்தும் துன்பத்தை விட பிணக்கு சரியாகி அனைத்துத்தழுவி கூடல் செய்யாமல் காட்டும் துன்பமே பெரியது.

ஊடல் செய்து அவரை காயப்படுத்தி பின்பு கூடல் புரியா நிலை, முன்பே கொடிகள் காய்ந்து வாடிப் போனச் செடியை வேறோடு பிடுங்கி எறிதலுக்கு சமம்.

விளக்கம்:
சிறிதும் பெரிதுமாக பிணக்கு இல்லாத காதலர்களின் காம வாழ்க்கை, முற்றியும் முற்றாத, பழுத்தும் பழுக்காத காய்கனிகளை போன்றதாகும்.

The lush life of lovers without pleasant clashing is like a tree is yielding immatured and unripen fruits.

நீடுவ தன்றுகொல் என்று

தழுவி களிப்படையும் இன்பத்தின் கால அளவு கூடுமா குறையாதா எனும் அந்த ஊடல் துன்பம் தருவதாகும்.

The pleasant clash happened between lovers due to an argument regarding the time of lasting copulation with each other is a bit saddened one.
