வகையறிந்து வல்லவை வாய்சோரார் சொல்லின்
தொகையறிந்த தூய்மை யவர்
- தெய்வப்புலவர்

விளக்கம்:
சொல்லில் தூய்மையுடையோர் சபையில் பேசுங்கால், அவையில் இருப்போரின் வகையறிந்து தவறிழைத்து பேச மாட்டார்கள்.

கற்றோர் அவையில், தான் கற்றவைகளை நயம்பட ஒருவர் உரை நிகழ்த்தினால், கற்றுத் தேர்ந்தவர் இவர் தான் என்று பெயர் பெறுவார்.

போர்களத்தில், உயிருக்கும் அஞ்சாமல் போரிடுபவர்கள் கூட பலர் உண்டு ஆனால் அவையில் அஞ்சாமல் பேசும் ஆற்றல் உள்ளவர்கள் சிலரே.

அவையில் உரையாற்றும் பொழுது, அவையினரால் கேட்கப்படும் வினாக்களுக்கு அஞ்சாமல் பதில் கூறும் ஆற்றல் பெற, பல நூல்களை கற்று அறிந்திருத்தல் வேண்டும்.

If a stage addresser wants to be capable to answer the questions of well-versed on the stage when he addresses, he must have much stuff by learning a lot.

நுண்ணவை அஞ்சு பவர்க்கு

விளக்கம்:
போரிடும் வீரர் அஞ்சி நடுங்கினால் அவர் கையில் வாள் இருந்தும் பயனில்லை. அது போல சபையில் பலர் முன் பேசத் தயங்குபவர் பல நூல்கள் கற்றும் பயனில்லை.

Despite having a sword if a soldier fears to fight on a battle,  the sword had by him is useless likewise, if an addresser fears to speak though he had learned a lot, all his learnings are useless.

தஞ்சு மவன்கற்ற நூல்

விளக்கம்:
சபையோர் முன் பேச அஞ்சும் மனிதர் கற்ற நூல்கள், போரிடத்தெரியா ஒரு கோழையான  வீரனின் கையில் உள்ள கூர்மையான வாளுக்கு சமமானதாகும்.

கற்றறிந்து புலமைப் பெற்று அறிவுடையவராயிருந்தாலும், அறிஞர்கள் சபைக்கு வர பயப்படுகிறவர்கள் கல்லாதவர்களை விட கீழானவர்கள்.
