சீரிடங் காணின் எறிதற்குப் பட்டடை
நேரா நிரந்தவர் நட்பு
- தெய்வப்புலவர்

விளக்கம்:
வெளியுலகிற்கு நட்பாய் இருப்பது போல் காட்டி உள்ளுக்குள் வெறுப்புடன் பழகும் நட்பு, ஒரு பொருளை தாங்குவது போல் தாங்கி, அப்பொருளை வெட்ட தாங்கும் பட்டடை என்ற பொருளுக்கு ஒப்பானதாகும்.

நன்கு கற்றுணர்ந்தோர் நட்பாய் பெற வாய்ப்பு கிட்டினால், அவர் கருத்தொற்றுமை இருந்தாலொழிய நட்பாய் தொடர்வது அரிது.

நல்லவர் போல் நடித்து அறிவுரை கூறி பழகும் நட்பு, பகைச் சொல் அவர் பேசும் பொழுது அவரது தன்மை வெளிப்பட்டு விடும்.

விளக்கம்:
பகைவர் வணக்கமாக பேசுவது, குறி வைத்து அம்பு எய்துவதற்கு வில் வலைவது போலாகும். ஆதலால் பகைவரின் அவ்வணக்கத்தை நம்பி விடகூடாது.

If an enemy is speaking with salutation, that is like a bow is bending more for shooting by an arrow. So, such poliet of the enemy shouldn't be believed at any situation.

பகைவர் கை கூப்பி வணங்கினாலும் கொலைக்கருவி அக்கைக்குள் ஒளிந்திருக்கும். பகைவர் விடும் கண்ணீரும் அப்படித்தான். தற்காப்புடன் இருந்தல் வேண்டும்.

நண்பராய் சபையில் சிரித்து பேசி அகத்தில் வஞ்சம் கொண்டிருப்போரிடம், நாமும் அவ்வழியே சிரித்து மகிழ்ந்து நட்பை தொடர்ந்து, பழி பெறாதிருந்து நட்பை நலிவடைய செய்யவேண்டும்.

பகைவர் நட்பு பாராட்டவருங்கால், நாம் மரியாதை நிமித்தம் புறத்தில் மகிழ்ச்சி காட்டி, உண்மைத்தன்மை அறியும்வரை அகத்தில் பகையை மறக்காமல் வைத்திருத்தல் வேண்டும்.
