வலியார்க்கு மாறேற்றல் ஓம்புக ஓம்பா
மெலியார்மேல் மேக பகை
- தெய்வப்புலவர்

விளக்கம்:
வலியாரை எதிர்த்தலை தவிர்ப்பது நலம். என்றாலும், எளியார் எதிர்க்கும்கால் எதிர்ப்பது நலம்.

It is better to avoid to oppose the strong ones. However, it is better to oppose weak ones if they wish to oppose.

மக்களின் அன்பும் இல்லை, அரவணைக்க துணையும் இல்லை, வலிமையான படையும் இல்லை- இவ்வரசன் ஆற்றல் மிக்க எதிரியை வீழ்த்துவது அரிது.

அச்சம் மிகுதி, அறிவு இல்லை, அன்பும் இல்லை பண்பும் இல்லை, ஈகையும் இல்லை. - இவ்வரசன் எதிரியிடம் வீழ்ந்துவிடுவான்.

சினம் தவிர்க்க தெரியாத, மனத்தை கட்டுப்படுத்த தெரியாத அரசனை எந்நேரத்திலும், யாராலும்  வீழ்த்துவது எளிது.

பழி மட்டும் நிறைந்திருந்து, நற்பண்பும் இல்லாது, நல்வழியில் செல்லாத அரசனை வீழ்த்துவதை இனிய தருணமாக கருதுவான் பகைவன்.

The enemy would consider that it is a happy moment to overthrow a king who is full of crimes and without virtue and does not go in the right direction.

அளவற்ற சினம் கொண்டு, மிகுதியாய் பேராசை பிடித்து ஆளும் அரசனை எதிர்கொள்ள, எதிரி விரும்பி செயல்படுவான்.

கூடவே இருந்து ஒவ்வாத வினை செய்து அழிவுக்கு வழிவகுக்கும் ஒருவனை பொருளழித்தாவது பகைவனாக்கிக்கொள்ள வேண்டும்.

குணம் கெட்டுப் போய் குற்றமும் பல புரிந்தவன், துணையின்றி தவிப்பான். ஆகையால் எதிரியிடம் அவன் ஏமாந்து நாட்டை இழப்பான்.

அஞ்சும் குணமும் அறிவற்ற நிலையிலும் இருக்கும் அரசனை வீழ்த்தும் பகைவன், போரில் ஆனந்தம் காண்பான்.

பிரிந்தவர் தவறு செய்தாலும், பழகிய நட்பின் இலக்கணமாய் அன்பு கொண்டவராயிருந்தால், பகைவனால் பாராட்டப்படுவார்.
