டல்லவை செய்தொழுகும் வேந்து

விளக்கம்:
குடிமக்களின் உரிமை பறித்து உடைமை பறித்து கோலாட்சி புரியும் வேந்தன் கொலை தொழில் செய்பவனைவிட கொடியவனாவான்.

The tears of people who are suffering due to tyranny of the reign of a king would be a troop to kill such king and his wealth.

மன்னாவாம் மன்னர்க் கொளி

விளக்கம்:
மன்னனின் ஆட்சிமுறை செழுமையாய் இருந்தால் அவன் புகழுடன் வலம் வருவான். இல்லேல் புகழ் சரிந்து அவப்பெயர் எடுப்பான்.

மழையின்றி மக்கள் படும் அவதி எவ்வாறோ அது போல் தான் அருள் இல்லா மன்னனின் ஆட்சி குடிமக்களை துன்பமடையச் செய்யும்.

குடிமக்கள் பொருள் நிறைந்து வாழ்ந்தாலும் அவ்வாழ்க்கை கொடுங்கோல் ஆட்சியில் கீழ் அமைந்தால் அது துன்பத்திலும் துன்பமாகும்.

Even if people have a big wealth but if they are ruled by a tyranny king, there wouldn't be as a great penance as it is.

மன்னனால் முறை தவறி செய்யப்படும் ஆட்சியின் துன்பம், பருவத்தில் மழை பெறாமல் படும் அவதியை போன்றதாம்.

காவலனாகிய மன்னன் மக்களை காக்கத் தவறும் ஆட்சி தந்தால், பசு தரும் பாலின் பலன் குன்றும், ஞானிகளும் ஞானம் மறப்பர்.

If a king who is liable to protect people fails to protect people and nation, the milk obtained from cows would be invalid, and the wisdomed people would lose their wisdom.
